Another day…Total randomness…

I went to work yesterday.  I figured I might as well.  If the doctors say nothing is wrong then I must be imagining it.  Right?  So I just went and did my job.  Rested as much as I could.  And I survived just fine. Had some pain but not severe.

I didn’t sleep well last night.  I just couldn’t stop tossing and turning.  Don’t know why.

(Proud Mamma Moment) Missy got a Merit award for excellence in Character from her school.  I cried.

School’s out for the summer!

We have more invites than we have time this weekend and we can’t decide what to attend and what not.  Plus, everything is out of town, in different towns.  Oh, what to do, what to do?

Kinda irked at some of dh’s family members right now.  Why do people have to do such stupid things???????

Thinking/praying about venturing into something new.  Can’t share right now but it’s big. (to me)

I’ve not lost any weight (in pounds) but my clothes are all fitting loosely. YAY

never a dull moment

Life just can’t be “too boring” can it? LOL

Last weekend I started having some “pains”.  They came and went but weren’t severe, but they were unfamiliar to me.  (not something I’d experienced before, I just couldn’t pinpoint the type of pain)  so I did nothing.  Monday and Tuesday the pains became worse so I called the “nurse advice line” and they basically scared me to death with all the “things it could be” and they told me I needed to go to the ER right away.  Sigh.  I did.  I spent the whole evening and half the night in the ER Tuesday night and got no answers.  (whine, pout, stomp my foot!)  they first thought it was my appendix.  Oh great, another one of THOSE for our family.  But then the tests came back and it was not my appendix. Nor was it anything else the doctor thought it could be.  I had blood work, CT scans, urinalysis, “female” exams, all of it! And they couldn’t give me an answer.  So now what?  I can’t just sit and relax indefinitely.  I stayed home from work yesterday and slept. (ah, the joys of good pain meds)  I am going to work today because I don’t see the point of sitting around here when I can sit around there just as easily and get paid for it. LOL  Then I’ll have 4 days off to rest and recuperate.  I pray that whatever this is just goes away.  It has to, right??

On another note…today is the kids’ last day of school.  They’re all excited.  And I’m excited just seeing how excited they are. HEHE  Lilo has a summer job babysitting which will begin tomorrow.  Miss Hollywood thinks that she’s going to spend the summer on the telephone and traveling from friend to friend’s house. LOL She’s just got one year left of Jr. High.  Where has the time gone?? Bubba got several awards from school (perfect attendance, excellent reader, 2 presidential awards in PE, etc)  He got to go ice skating for his perfect attendance field trip.  His first time ice-skating and he loved it!  Missy also got perfect attendance and excellent on her sight words.  They’ve both been enjoying lots of fun activities these last 2 weeks.  And they all have big plans and huge dreams of summer fun.  Hehe we’ll see if their dreams come true! LOL

basic update

  • Mood: relaxed

The days and weeks just seem to go by so fast it seems.

My dh is doing great.  Back to work at his regular job and has even taken a part time 2nd job for a while.  We’re working hard to try to get out of debt.  Will it ever happen???  Going from the BIG California income to a few small Texas ones has been hard but we’re about to balance out (I think) LOL

I love working at the daycare, though it drains me!  I love being with the children and seeing the excitement on their little faces when they “get” what I’m teaching them.  And OH! The stories I hear! LOL   I don’t get anything done on the days I work aside from feeding the family and being together in the evening.  Which means the weekends are spent “catching up” here at the house.  This is the first weekend that has felt “normal” since I started working.  I’m glad for that.

The kids get out of school for summer vacation this week.  They are all excited.  We’re working on mapping out our calendar to fit in all the things we want to do.  (Which is gonna be hard giving my and dh’s work schedules.)  As usual, we’ll be busier than ever through the summer and I’m sure that it will fly by!

Really not a whole lot going on other than that. And for those who read here, sorry I never update with more, there’s just nothing to say. *shrug*

Days off

  • Mood: tired!

Let’s see…in my 3 days off from work I...

*took my dh to the ER twice

*had a birthday party sleep over for my son which involved picking the kids up and taking them home again

*did the grocery shopping

*did a week’s worth of laundry

*drove during 3 out of town trips

*sat all alone in a waiting room while my husband had surgery.

Yeah, I’d say I’m ready to go back to work.

well...

Well, i managed to change the look!  now let's see if i can manage to get in here and post! LOL

Life has been interesting, busy, but not so interesting as to tell the world about it.  I did get a job finally.  I am working as a preschool teacher at a local daycare.  it is a fun job, lots of interesting things happen throughout the day.  But those little bundles of energy wear me out!  I am so tired when I get home in the evenings!
